The representative of Armenia before the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR), Yeghishe Kirakosyan, on Friday received PACE Rapporteur on Migration, Refugees and Displaced Persons, Paul Gavan (Ireland), Armenia’s delegation before the ECHR informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Kirakosyan presented the violation of the rights of people deported from Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) in the post-war period and, in particular, of POWs. Reference was made also to the work done with international organizations.

Also, Armenia’s representative before the ECHR highlighted the urgency of the return of the Armenian captives still held in Azerbaijan, noting that the Azerbaijani authorities are artificially delaying and politicizing this process.

In addition, Yeghishe Kirakosyan presented the issues of the residents deported from Artsakh and their property rights.
