Turkish Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu is cutting ties with US security forces, continuing to accuse Washington of involvement in the 2016 coup attempt, the Middle East Eye reported.

Soylu has suspended joint training and programs between Turkish and American police forces, denied the United States early access to Turkish police data on suspects, and refused to share information about ongoing Turkish investigations with American counterparts, a Turkish official told MEE.

However, this did not completely impede cooperation with the US authorities, as they were able to obtain relevant information as soon as the investigation was completed and brought to court, the official said, speaking on condition of anonymity.
