Second President Robert Kocharyan, who heads the “Armenia” bloc ahead of the snap parliamentary elections on June 20, on Monday met with the bloc's members in Armavir Province. Armenian News-NEWS.am has learned about this from the Facebook page of the “Armenia” bloc.
The respective posts adds that as a province mainly engaged in agriculture, some of the questions referred to the prospects of this sector. Kocharyan said how he envisions the solution of agricultural issue: the amount of agricultural subsidies should increase considerably, the tariff for irrigation water should become symbolic, and farmers should not have an issue of use of fertilizers, irrigation water, especially products.
Reference was made also to enhancing the combat-readiness of the army, ensuring the security of Armenia and Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), the Armenian captives, the education policy, and several other matters.
The ex-President stated that it is possible to bring Armenia back to the path of development and, in general, everything will be fine.
