YEREVAN. – Taron Simonyan, a lawyer and member of the opposition Bright Armenia faction in the National Assembly (NA), has been appointed as head of the election campaign headquarters of the opposition Bright Armenia Party (BAP) for the snap parliamentary elections on June 20. Edmon Marukyan, BAP leader and head of its NA faction, on Monday informed about this on Facebook.
A special session of the BAP governing board was convened Sunday, in which Marukyan was re-elected chairman of the party, and its governing board was re-elected—with renewed members.
BAP will run in the upcoming snap elections under the slogan: "There is an alternative. Vote!"
