The incumbent authorities haven’t fulfilled any of their promises. This is what second President of Armenia, leader of the Armenia alliance of political parties Robert Kocharyan told reporters today.

According to him, they can’t mention any promise that they have fulfilled. “There isn’t anyone in government who is reputable. They haven’t done anything, and now they will have to convince citizens that the future of the country is in good hands. I don’t think it’s prospective.”

Touching upon the devastating consequences of the 44-day war [in Nagorno-Karabakh], Kocharyan said the war wasn’t supposed to end this way and that those responsible for the defeat need to be held liable.

Kocharyan also talked about the fact that people are causing difficulties for him and his team.

“These people have no problem with lying. They don’t have remorse, and they’re not conscious and patriotic. Nevertheless, there are still people who are misled and believe in the incumbent authorities. It’s going to be hard because people were excited when they were a part of the changes that were being made in 2018, and now they have trouble or don’t want to accept the fact that all this led to devastating consequences for the country. We need to help those people choose the right path, and the path is patriotism, the Republic of Armenia. These are the problems we face,” he said.
