We must not go back to the past and stay there, just like the incumbent authorities did. This is what second President of Armenia, leader of the Armenia alliance of political parties Robert Kocharyan told reporters today.
“Vendetta and justice need to be differentiated. They are totally different from each other. Yes, I believe there must not be vendetta,” the president said.
According to Kocharyan, the incumbent authorities are carrying out vendetta. “Everything needs to be done according to the law. What the incumbent authorities did is vendetta because all the criminal cases, even the cases launched against heads of villages, are political. I have several facts that I won’t make public in order to not to create problems for people,” he said, adding that this doesn’t mean that a crime should be forgotten or there shouldn’t be a political or legal evaluation, if the crime is evident.
