Acting Foreign Minister of Armenia Ara Aivazian today held a telephone conversation with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Austria Alexander Schallenberg.
As reported the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, the key topic of the phone talks was the situation created as a result of the infiltration of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan into the sovereign territory of Armenia.
The acting foreign minister thoroughly presented the latest developments and reaffirmed Armenia’s principled position according to which the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan must be immediately and unconditionally removed from the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia.
Both parties highlighted the need for maintenance of regional stability and security and, in this regard, they also attached importance the need for a comprehensive settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and to address the humanitarian issues that emerged after the war and require urgent solutions.
The foreign ministers also exchanged views on a number of issues on the agenda and expressed commitment to intensify the political dialogue.
