Armenian contractual serviceman, Junior Sergeant Gevorg Khurshudyan, who received a lethal firearm injury after shootings that began following the gunshots fired from the Azerbaijani side in the border section of Verin Shorzha of Gegharkunik Province of Armenia, was the son of meritorious member of the “Smbat Tatosyan” Committee of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation-Dashnaktsutyun political party in Ararat Province Yura Khurshudyan and was a father of two children. This is stated in the statement issued by the ARF-D Armenia Supreme Body.

“The ARF-D Supreme Body expresses its condolences to the family and relatives of the dear friend, the fellow servicemen of Gevorg and all Armenians on the occasion of the painful loss,” the statement also reads.
