Today at around 12:55 compulsory fixed-term serviceman Mher Hovhannisyan fired a gunshot at his head with an AKM rifle in the armory of one of the military units of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia and, with firearm injures, was transferred to Noyemberyan Medical Center where his biological death was recorded, as reported the Investigative Committee of Armenia.

The Investigation Division of the 6th Garisson of the General Military Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee has launched a criminal case under the Criminal Code of Armenia (carelessly leading a serviceman to commit suicide) and is carrying out preliminary investigation.

Necessary investigative and other procedural actions are being taken to ensure comprehensive, full and objective examination.
