Newly appointed Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to Armenia Khaled Shawabka (seat in Moscow) today presented his Letters of Credence to President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian.

As reported the Staff of the President of Armenia, Sarkissian congratulated the Ambassador, wished him success and said he anticipates joint and active work to expand and deepen the relations between the fraternal countries, and the newly appointed Ambassador transmitted the best wishes of King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein Al-Hashimi to the President of Armenia and the Armenian people.

Ambassador Shawabka assured that he will make all efforts for further strengthening and deepening of the relations between the friendly countries and mentioned that the wonderful relations between the President of Armenia and the King of Jordan serve as a good basis for advancement of the cooperation.

During the meeting, the parties talked about the promotion of partnership in various sectors. The Armenian president touched upon the challenges facing the country after the war, as well as Azerbaijan’s ongoing encroachments against the borders and territorial integrity of the Republic of Armenia, noting that they are overt violations of the norms of international law and need to be countered by the international community in the strictest way.
