President Armen Sarkissian arrived at the Sardarapat Memorial of Armenia a few minutes ago. And Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan arrived a few minutes later to mark First Republic Day.
But several dozen police cars, officers, and Pashinyan's security service keep the entrance to Sardarapat closed since 7am—and not only for people, but also for reporters.
It became known that the entry of reporters to Sardarapat will be banned as long as the acting premier is there. And only the state-funded Public Television has received the right to cover the event.
This is unprecedented, as there have never been such prohibitions before.
