There are omissions in the documents required for the registration of political parties and blocs that have applied to the Electoral Commission (CEC) of Armenia in order to be able to run in the snap parliamentary elections on June.

And at Saturday’s special session, the CEC gave these political forces 48 hours to make the respective corrections to these documents.

These omissions were primarily related to the documents proving that some MP candidates had been Armenian citizens for the last 4 years, had resided permanently in Armenia for the last 4 years, and were fluent in Armenian.

Also, the studies of the electoral list of the Democratic Party of Armenia showed that 92 people out of the total number are on this list, in the case of 48 of whom "non-partisan" is mentioned, whereas nothing is mentioned in 14 cases.

The CEC, providing 48 hours, proposes to this party to make a corresponding correction, if it is a mistake, and to present substantiating documents.
