The UK's National Health Service (NHS) has called for a ban on the sale of small ball magnets in the country after at least 65 children have been urgently operated on in England over the past three years, Lenta.ru reported.

The essence of viral videos is to place two magnets on either side of the cheeks or tongue as if the piercing was real. Some children swallowed magnets during the filming.

Earlier, British doctors operated on a 13-year-old schoolgirl after another Tik Tok trend. The girl was admitted to intensive care with abdominal pain and vomiting. Doctors found 15 stuck magnetic balls in the patient's abdomen. An operation on the appendix and intestines was required to save her.
