YEREVAN. – There is no occasion, meeting, or opportunity where the issue of captives is not discussed; I hope this issue will be resolved. Acting Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan on Tuesday told this to reporters at the National Assembly of Armenia.

Referring to the work of the Armenian-Russian-Azerbaijani trilateral commission that has been set up on the issue of unblocking the roads, he said: "Currently, the work is not continued because this work will be truly be effective and will yield results in one case: if the background, the general situation is at least stable. In the case of this situation at the borders, I do not think that constructive work is possible on that platform. In recent times, the contacts on that platform have been interrupted. Let's see what will be the continuation."

Grigoryan added that the aforesaid work was interrupted especially after the Azerbaijani armed forces marched into the territory of Armenia.

The acting deputy PM of Armenia spoke also about the "Zangezur Corridor" being voiced by Azerbaijani president Aliyev. "The Armenian side has not discussed and will not discuss matters of corridor logic, and it is not even possible to discuss them. If by saying ‘corridor’ some people mean transport routes, it is one question. But if by saying 'corridor' people mean any circumstance related to sovereignty, I assure you again that it is excluded from the agenda of my discussions," Mher Grigoryan said.
