Armenia’s acting Minister of Defense Vagharshak Harutyunyan today received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Armenia Nico Schermers.

As reported the Armenian Ministry of Defense, the acting defense minister presented the situation created after the war that Azerbaijan unleashed against Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) on September 27, 2020 and the recent developments. Harutyunyan expressed gratitude to the Ambassador for the Dutch government’s statements demanding the release of Armenian prisoners of war and efforts and stressed Azerbaijan’s destructive position.

The interlocutors also discussed the regional security environment, the current threats and expected developments.
