We’re fighting to remove Nikol Pashinyan from power, not against the opposition. This is what candidate of the “I Have Honor” bloc for Prime Minister of Armenia Artur Vanetsyan said in an interview with Petros Ghazaryan on Armenian Public Television today.

“We can’t consider the upcoming elections a normal election, taking into consideration the current situation in Armenia, but people will be casting their votes for this or that political party on June 20. I’m certain that our bloc has high chances of winning these elections and forming a government, and we’re going to the elections to win,” he said.

The TV host touched upon the statement that Vanetsyan had made earlier, saying that there won’t be a return to the past, referring to the Republican Party of Armenia and asked what changed his mind since he has formed an alliance with the Republican Party of Armenia.

“When people in Armenia talk about the past, they remember not only corruption and fraudulent elections, but also the security environment. As for the morals of the past, President Serzh Sargsyan and the key role-players of the Republican Party of Armenia have talked about this and admitted that there have been bad customs and morals during their administration. However, there is one major fact. All the mistakes made in the past can be fixed, but the mistakes made by the incumbent authorities are irreversible. We can’t regain the lost part of our homeland, our security system and our martyred heroes,” he said, adding that the “I Have Honor” bloc will come to power and is ready to take responsibility and restore the people’s faith in the future.
