China calls for closer security, economic cooperation with Afghanistan.

Xinhua reported that the foreign ministers of China, Afghanistan, and Pakistan have agreed that the withdrawal of foreign troops from Afghanistan must be carried out in a responsible and orderly manner to prevent the deterioration of the security situation in Afghanistan and the return of terrorist forces.

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said that the three countries need to strengthen ties and cooperation in the name of the interests of Afghanistan and neighboring countries.

The security and stability of Afghanistan and the region face new challenges as the withdrawal of foreign troops from Afghanistan has accelerated and armed conflicts and terrorist activities have increased, Wang Yi said.
