Within the framework of his trip to Syunik Province of Armenia, Russian Ambassador Sergey Kopirkin on Thursday visited the Meghri city detachment of the Russian border guards in  Armenia, got acquainted with the conditions of service, and paid tribute to the border guards who have fallen in Armenia. We learn about this from the official Facebook page of the Russian embassy in Yerevan.

The head of the Russian diplomatic mission in Armenia visited the country’s southernmost point protected by Russian border guards—the junction of the borders of Armenia, Iran, and Azerbaijan—, visited the Karchevan checkpoint, as well as met with the mayor of Meghri, Mkhitar Zakaryan.

Also, the Russian envoy to Armenia visited the Agarak Copper and Molybdenum Combine, which is considered one of the largest taxpayers and employers in the region.
