Due to lack of a sufficient number of votes, Tatevik Barseghyan, the 29-year-old wife of deputy of the ruling My Step faction Sos Avetisyan and nominated by the ruling party, hasn’t been elected member of the Commission for the Prevention of Corruption.
Barseghy an insisted that she had participated in the open competition and had successfully passed the particular stage.
During the secret ballot, 66 deputies voted “in favor of” Barseghyan, while 8 MPs voted “against”.
