President of the Republican Party of Armenia, third President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan today received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Armenia Nico Schermers at the headquarters of the Republican Party of Armenia. This is what Vice-President of the Republican Party of Armenia Armen Ashotyan wrote on his Facebook page, adding the following:

“At the request of the Ambassador, Serzh Sargsyan thoroughly presented the main directions of the pre-electoral platform of the “I Have Honor” bloc. The President also touched upon the situation created in Armenia and the region, the current issues in the relations between Armenia and the European Union, the international community’s attitude during the recent war in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) and the crisis that emerged in Armenia as a result of the activities of the populist government.

Viewing the international institutions’ responses to the 44-day war as “inert”, the leader of the Republican Party of Armenia stressed the following: “After all this, how can I explain to my people that it is necessary to respect the opinions of international organizations?”

Talking particularly about the problems that emerged in the Armenian army after 2018, President Sargsyan also emphasized the following: “He [Nikol Pashinyan] was afraid of the army, and this is why he did everything he could to destroy it”.”
