Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law denouncing the Treaty on Open Skies.
On May 19, the law was unanimously adopted by Russia's parliament. It was originally planned that the federation council would consider the document on the same day, but the discussion on denunciation was postponed. At a meeting of the upper house of parliament on June 2, senators unanimously approved the law with 152 people voting for it.
