President of Russia Vladimir Putin and President of the European Council Charles Michel today discussed the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh over the phone, the Kremlin’s press service reports.

“The current situation around Nagorno-Karabakh was discussed, taking into consideration the importance of consistent implementation of the statements adopted by the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia on November 9, 2020 and January 11, 2021 in the future.

The unblocking of economic and transport links in the region and the solutions to the humanitarian issues of the population were among the primary issues that were mentioned.

Charles Michel expressed support to the efforts that are being made, including with regard to the Co-Chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group (Russia, USA, France),” the press release reads.
