The court decision on Dr. Armen Charchyan was to be published at pm Saturday, by which the defense was disputing the legality of his arrest.

His lawyers Erik Aleksanyan and Aram Vardevanyan had written that they were not told when the postponed court hearing on the publication of this decision would take place.

According to 168.am’s information, it turns out that at around 7:30pm, Judge Manvel Shahverdyan was abducted from the consultation room and taken to the deputy director of the National Security Service, Tigran Harutyunyan.

Shahverdyan is required to deem the doctor's arrest lawful, which the judge sharply denies, saying that there are no such grounds.

Seeing that they could not influence the judge, they actually hold him as a hostage in order to release him Sunday morning, when the issue of arresting the doctor will be examined, so that he will not be released.

According to 168.am’s information, this whole process has been organized and managed by Artur Mkrtchyan, Chairman of the Court of General Jurisdiction of Yerevan.
