At least three people were killed by a fuel explosion on a tanker near the Demerara River in Guyana, RIA Novosti referring to EFE agency.

According to it, the ship was under repair, and an explosion occurred while the fuel was being drained from the tanks. The incident was caused by non-compliance with safety regulations. No injuries were reported in the explosion.
