Moscow's commitments within the CSTO remain in force. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated this on Wednesday in response to a question about Russia's possible response to the deteriorating situation on the Tajikistan-Afghanistan border, RIA Novosti reported.

"The obligations assumed under the CSTO remain in force," Lavrov told a news conference.

He added that representatives of the CSTO Secretariat have already visited the border area.
