At least two police officers were killed and eight others were injured in an explosion near the Serena Hotel in Quetta, Pakistan, Dawn edition reported.

Four passers-by were also injured in the explosion, and a bomb was planted in a policeman's motorcycle. The victims were taken to hospital.

Local authorities condemned the attack, saying that the terrorists want to disrupt the peace in Baluchistan and spread fear.
