The Taliban militants have seized control of Lashkar Gah, the administrative capital of southern Afghanistan's Helmand Province, Ariana News reported.
Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said the provinces of Herat, Kandahar, Helmand, and Badghis were completely under Taliban control.
Also, the militants have declared a 48-hour ceasefire so that the civilians and the military can be evacuated from Lashkar Gah.
