A little while ago, Professor Armen Charchyan’s health condition worsened at Vardashen Penitentiary Institution of the Ministry of Justice of Armenia due to his diabetes, and he has been transferred to Kanaker-Zeytun Medical Center. This is what Charchyan’s attorney Erik Aleksanyan wrote on his Facebook page.
“I insist that the disease that Armen Charchyan is diagnosed with is incompatible with arrest and that the professor needs to be released as soon as possible,” he added.
