A magnitude 5.1 earthquake was registered in northeastern Iran on Monday, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre reported.
The epicenter of this tremor was located 43 kilometers northeast of Quchan city, which has a population of about 111,000, and 2 km beneath the surface.
There are no reports of casualties or damage.
