Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Friday sent a congratulatory message to Chinese President Xi Jinping on the occasion of the 72nd anniversary of the People's Republic of China. The message reads as follows, in particular:

"Armenian-Chinese friendly relations (…) have developed and strengthened steadily ever since the establishment of diplomatic relations [between the two countries]. China (…) is one of Armenia's primary partners.

We can confidently record that ahead of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, we have succeeded in bringing our cooperation to an important milestone in the political, economic, and cultural spheres.

I am full of hope that thanks to our joint efforts, the Armenian-Chinese cooperation will increasingly deepen and expand for the benefit of our peoples."

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan sent a congratulatory message to also Chinese Premier Li Keqiang. This message notes as follows, in part:

"Armenia highly values the traditional friendly relations and mutually beneficial cooperation with China. Our countries are united by the positive track-record of working together, cooperating on international platforms.

In the fight against COVID-19 in recent times, China has provided assistance to many countries, including Armenia, for which we are deeply grateful.

It should be recorded with satisfaction that even in the face of pandemic-related restrictions, a considerable increase has been recorded in the amount of our bilateral trade, which attests to the fact that Armenian-Chinese relations have great potential for further development. I m full of hope that with firm steps we can advance our partnership for the sake of our peoples and for a secure and safe future.”
