There are fears that the Armenian authorities could fulfill all the demands of Azerbaijan. This is what deputy of the opposition “Armenia” faction of the National Assembly of Armenia Artur Ghazinyan told reporters today.

According to him, the Armenian authorities’ actions are against the country’s national interests and pose a danger to the country. He added that holding meetings with Azerbaijan’s representatives and leading substantive negotiations over the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict are inappropriate for the time being since Armenia’s positions in the negotiations are weak.

“It is necessary to stop the negotiations, settle the situation, bring those responsible to justice, restore the army, consolidate the people and increase effectiveness of state institutions. Only after this will we be able to talk about negotiations,” Ghazinyan stressed.

The opposition MP said Pashinyan’s statements on mine maps is absurd since the return of captives is enshrined in the trilateral statement signed on November 9, 2020. “Aliyev is trying to sell us what he was obliged to give without preconditions. If we can change the situation in Armenia as soon as possible and form a powerful government that is in the interests of the nation, something can still be restored. The statement signed on November 9, 2020 contains risks and opportunities, and it all depends on the posture of the authorities,” he said, adding that the authorities that came to power through the street must leave through the street as well.
