The Armenian authorities plan to tax the electronic services provided by non-resident organizations. This is what Chairman of the State Revenue Committee of Armenia Rustam Badasyan said during a discussion on the bill on making amendments to a particular law held as part of today’s session of the National Assembly.

According to Badasyan, the value added tax will be applied.

“Within the scope of this bill, we will tax the electronic services provided by non-resident companies and non-resident organizations that don’t have a permanent representation in Armenia. With this, the government will lay down the concept paper on electronic services and the organization providing relevant services within the country. According to the bill, the provision of services through electronic means implies provision of services through information and telecommunication network, including the Internet,” Badasyan clarified and rushed to inform that this concerns electronic services that can only be provided through a telecommunication network.

Badasyan added that among such services are information and telecommunication services, including online advertising services.
