The Turks are exerting more and more pressure around Armenia since there is no response from Yerevan. This is what deputy of the opposition “With Honor” faction of the National Assembly of Armenia Anna Mkrtchyan said during today’s parliamentary session.

According to her, Nikol Pashinyan has seized power and isn’t even planning to defend his own country.

“The Turkish leader declared that the Prime Minister of Armenia is asking to meet with him, but the Turkish leader isn’t preparing to meet with him, and is threatening with the corridor in Syunik Province, is putting the issue of the status of Nagorno-Karabakh in a deadlock and considers the return of Armenian captives nonsensical. Armenia has reached a point where Turkey is talking about the need to make amendments to the Constitution of Armenia, and then Armenia starts considering the possible processes of constitutional amendments,” Anna Mkrtchyan said, adding that Pashinyan has most probably verbally given pledges to Ankara and is currently fulfilling them.

Mkrtchyan said the premier’s policy and line of conduct is inimical.
