At Wednesday’s session of the National Assembly of Armenia, the MPs passed—in the second and final reading—the Bill on Amendments and Addenda to the Law on Remuneration of Persons Holding Public Office and Public Service Positions.

This bill initiated by the government proposes to define two additional domains of service for those who benefit from the social package in Armenia. In particular, it is about the opportunity for employees of government agencies and their family members to use the services of sports and health centers, swimming pools, and other such facilities. In addition, it will be possible to repay student loans on the account of government subsidies.

In addition, the lawmakers passed a number of other bills in the first reading.
