A rescue squad conducted searches for the remains of deceased servicemen in Jrakan (Jabrayil) today, the press release of the State Service for Emergency Situations of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) reads.

“The rescue squad found the remains of another Armenian serviceman who was killed during the hostilities and was deemed to be missing in action to this day. His identity will be confirmed after a forensic medicine expert examination.

To date, rescue squads have found and removed the remains of a total of 1,681 servicemen in and from the seized territories of Artsakh since the truce.

The State Service for Emergency Situations will provide further information about the future directions and results of searches,” the press release also reads.
