Turkey’s position on supporting “the integrity and sovereignty” of Ukraine remains unchanged. This is what Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey Mevlut Cavusoglu declared during a joint press conference with his Ukrainian counterpart Dmytro Kuleba in Lviv, Anadolu reports.

According to Cavusoglu, Turkey and Ukraine are linked by close friendly ties and are in solidarity in regard to many issues. “Our relations are growing in different directions, and we are glad. The leaders of both countries have held two meetings since the beginning of this year,” the minister informed.

“Ankara has supported and will continue to support the promotion of the Crimea platform initiative. Turkey attaches special importance to the rights of the Tatars of Crimea. Construction of houses for the Tatars of Crimea will be launched in Ukraine with the support of Turkey by the end of this year…The conflict in Donbas must be resolved by taking into consideration Ukraine’s territorial integrity,” Cavusoglu declared.
