The European Commission intends to help those with Turkish biometric passports enter the Schengen Area without visas, BBC reports, citing the Commission’s sources.

Earlier, SchengenVisaInfo.com had reported that the issue of liberalization of visas for citizens of Turkey would be revisited during the meeting of Turkish and EU officials in October.

According to Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister Faruk Kaymakci, besides liberalization of the visa regime, the parties will also discuss issues related to migration, domestic affairs and security.
