Head of Rosatom Central Europe Vadim Titov and Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of Armenia Gnel Sanosyan today had a meeting devoted to the expansion of cooperation between Russia and Armenia in the sector of territorial development.

As reported the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of Armenia, during the meeting, the parties discussed projects such as the ensuring of unimpeded power supply for major facilities in cities and villages through modern systems of accumulation of power and the use of composite substances for active seismic regions during the modernization of infrastructure facilities, as well as shared proposals for digitization of systems, optimization of city transport, development of electric transport, etc.

Commenting on the development of cooperation between the countries, Titov stated that the long and prolific cooperation link Russia and Armenia in the energy solutions sector and that Russia is ready to work with Armenia in several new and prospective sectors.

In his turn, Russia’s Ambassador to Armenia Sergey Kopirkin stated that Russia believes it is necessary to talk about a real technological alliance between the two countries and that Rosatom’s new, high-tech production and innovation chains can strongly connect Russian and Armenian enterprises to each other.

The Armenian minister said the sectors presented by Rosatom are interesting for Armenia from the perspective of future development, especially since some of the sectors are solid waste processing, smart cities, production and use of composite substances and other energy sectors that may make an essential contribution to the development of alternative energy in Armenia.
