Nikoloz Saakashvili, father of third President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili, has called on his son to stop the hunger strike.

The Georgian ex-president is currently in a prison in Rustavi after being arrested upon his illegal entry into Georgia on October 1.

Nikoloz Saakashvili addressed his son through a social network since, as he wrote, he had no other option.

Before this, Catholicos-Patriarch Ilya II of All Georgia and Shalva Papuashvili, one of the leaders of the ruling Georgian Dream Party, had also made similar calls.
