President of Russia Vladimir Putin, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and President of France Emmanuel Macron discussed Ukraine.

According to the Kremlin’s press service, during their phone talks, they thoroughly discussed the troubling situation regarding deceleration of the settlement of the conflict within Ukraine. The three leaders also mentioned the importance of implementation of the Minsk Agreements of 2015 as an indisputable ground for settlement and underscored their interest in coordinating the efforts of Russia, Germany and France in the Normandy Format.

Taking into consideration the complicated situation that is emerging during the settlement of the conflict in the southeast, the leaders assigned their political advisors and Ministries of Foreign Affairs to intensify contacts and work in the Normandy Four format. They also reached an agreement to continue to explore the preconditions for possibly organizing the Normandy Summit.
