On September 15, during a question-and-answer session with the government at the NA [(National Assembly)], I had asked [PM] Nikol Pashinyan to clarify whether he guarantees that within the framework of the implementation of the provisions of the November 9 trilateral declaration a new route connecting Artsakh [(Nagorno-Karabakh)] with Armenia will not be established under the conditions of which town of Berdzor, the villages of Sus and Aghavno of the Kashatagh [(Lachin)] region, as well as the villages of Lisagor, Yeghtsahogh, Hin Shen, Mets Shen, Kanach Tala, Tas Verst of the Shushi region will not end up under the control of Azerbaijan in any status. Tigran Abrahamyan, an MP from the opposition "With Honor" Faction in the National Assembly of Armenia and the founder of Henaket Analytical Center, wrote this on Facebook Tuesday.

"On that day, Pashinyan avoided a clear answer, arguing that he did not have a [respective] map at hand, and did not manage to make notes about the communities I mentioned.

Immediately after that, on September 24, I wrote the question and sent it to Pashinyan, where the question and the specific settlements were clearly worded.

The answer to my writing was received today—but not from Pashinyan, but from the Deputy Foreign Minister Vahe Gevorgyan who only noted that ‘no negotiations were held on the 2nd sub-item of the 6th point of the November 9 trilateral statement.’

It turns out that the authorities have either already agreed with the handover of those territories or a part of it, or do not have confidence that in future negotiations they will be able to hold effective negotiations over those communities, to keep them under Armenian control," the opposition MP added, in particular.
