Today the “Armenia” faction of the National Assembly of Armenia hosted Chairman of AGBU Canada Shaheh Tanashian and member of AGBU Canada Hagop Arslanian. This is stated in the press release issued by the opposition “Armenia” alliance.

At the request of the guests, leader of the opposition “Armenia” faction Seyran Ohanyan presented the challenges facing Armenia following the 44-day war [in Nagorno-Karabakh], as well as “Armenia” alliance’s approaches for overcoming the domestic political crisis and the crisis of the nation. Seyran Ohanyan, as well as the deputies of the faction participating in the meeting attached importance to the role of the Armenian Diaspora in consolidating the potential of All Armenians, pursuing pro-Armenian agendas on international platforms and engaging Diaspora Armenians in the programs for helping Artsakh get back on its feet.

The members of the AGBU said they are persistent and have goals to support the Armenians of Artsakh through social and educational programs and help them live in safety and in a dignified manner.

On behalf of the “Armenia” faction and alliance, Ohanyan emphasized the need for a qualitatively new milestone in the relations between Armenia and Diaspora and the unconditional commitment to working with the Diaspora,” the press release reads.
