According to the legislation, a number of political parties in Armenia will receive government funding. This is what Chief of Staff and General Secretary of the National Assembly of Armenia Vahan Naribekyan said during today’s discussion on the draft state budget for 2022 held as part of the joint session of standing parliamentary committees.

Civil Contract Party, Republic Party, Prosperous Armenia Party and “Armenia” Alliance will receive AMD 144,639,800, AMD 38,758,000, AMD 50,444,000 and AMD 16,842,600, respectively.

Naribekyan stated that the opposition “With Honor” Alliance isn’t included in the list since it failed to cross the 7% threshold during the snap parliamentary elections, but entered parliament, proceeding from the constitutional requirement regarding the presence of at least three political forces.

Political parties that garner at least 3% in the elections receive government funding.
