Armenia and Iran have historically friendly relations hinged on mutual trust. This is what Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan said in an interview with Nouvelles d'Arménie.

“There is mutual willingness to further enhance and deepen the Armenian-Iranian relations, which are hinged on friendship and mutual respect, as well as mutually beneficial cooperation in trade, economy, politics and other sectors,” the minister declared.

According to him, Armenia fully hopes the talks over the nuclear program resume, are successful and create the opportunity to lift the sanctions against Iran which may serve as a major impetus for development of economic cooperation between Armenia and Iran.
