Chairman of the State Revenue Committee of Armenia on Wednesday received Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Armenia, Ambassador Andrea Wiktorin, as reported the Department of Information and Public Relations of the State Revenue Committee.

During the meeting, the parties discussed implementation of the plan for modernization of the Meghri customs point of the Southern Customs House-Department of the State Revenue Committee with the support of the European Union and through funding provided by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

The parties emphasized the need for active use of the EU technical assistance tools (Twinning, TAEIX) in the context of reforms in customs administration and tax administration, as well as consideration of possible support to the creation of customs laboratories.
