In 2022, it is planned to implement 16 programs, with 93 measures, within the framework of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs. Minister of finance Tigran Khachatryan stated about this at the parliamentary standing committees’ joint debates Friday on Armenia’s draft state budget for 2022.

A total of 580 billion drams (approx. US$1.2 billion) are planned to be allocated for these purposes.

"The [respective budget allocation] increase compared to 2021 is 15.1 percent," Khachatryan added.

According to the minister, the social expenditures envisaged by the Armenian government are the largest ever in this draft state budget.
