Tiran Khachatryan, the former First Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia, has withdrawn his lawsuits filed in the administrative case and the demands presented therein, his lawyer Varuzhan Avetikyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

"This lawsuit had lost its urgency, it is outdated as Arshak Karapetyan has been appointed Minister of Defense. We have filed three lawsuits with the Administrative Court, the previous two lawsuits remain in force, and we insist on our demands [in them]," Avetikyan said.

To note, Tiran Khachatryan's lawsuit on the legitimacy and legality of his dismissal from the post of First Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Armenian was at the Administrative Court since May. This lawsuit against President Armen Sarkissian and Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan was a demand to recognize the lack of legality in appointing Arshak Karapetyan to the aforesaid position by virtue of law.
