Today at around 3 p.m. an Azerbaijani soldier fired gunshots at employees of a water company repairing water pipelines at an intersection near the city of Shushi.

One employee died on the spot, and the other three were transferred to the Republican Medical Center with gunshot wounds in the chest and neck areas, but their lives aren’t at risk, as reported the Prosecutor General’s Office of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh).

According to the press release issued by the Prosecutor General’s Office, investigators of the National Security Service, the Police and the Investigative Committee are carrying out urgent reconnaissance, investigative and other procedural actions to clarify the circumstances, identify the real reasons and give a legal evaluation.

The press release also states that, taking into consideration the fact that investigative actions are being conducted at the scene of the incident, traffic has been stopped in that section for a short period.
