YEREVAN. – Zhoghovurd of the Republic of Armenia (RA) newspaper writes: There are criminal cases filed against a number of former [military] officials at the investigative bodies; in particular, at the SIS [(Special Investigation Service)], at the Military Investigation Department.

In particular, the criminal case filed on the statements by the former head of the RA Armed Forces, Movses Hakobyan, is being investigated there. Zhoghovurd daily learned that no investigation has been carried out into this case for a long time; that is, they summoned Movses Hakobyan for questioning, and the case is making no headway.

The Investigative Committee is investigating, for example, the criminal case filed in connection with the bombing of the car of Artsakh [(Nagorno-Karabakh)] former Defense Minister Jalal Harutyunyan, a year has passed since which, and the case remains where it is at. And they questioned only Jalal Harutyunyan in this case.

A year has passed since this and a number of other cases, but they are unable to find or present anything new to the public.
