Based on Azerbaijan’s draft state budget for 2022, 4,490,000,000 manats ($2,600,000,000) will be allocated for defense and security, making up 15% of the total expenditures, turan.az reports.
In 2022, Azerbaijan will spend 500,000,000 manats ($294,000,000) to update its arsenal, while expenditures for special protection will make up 2,100,000,000 manats ($1,235,000,000).
